I have two words to describe their food: So. Delicious.

The name of the title depicts this farm-to-table restaurant very well. Their primary focus is organic. The restaurant actually evolved from showcasing organic Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) ingredients. Their produce is obtained from local farms that follow sustainable and organic practices. And as mentioned in other restaurant reviews, this is an admirable value. The restaurant has two locations in the Central Coast, Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo, both of which have their individual menu for brunch, lunch and dinner. We went to the one located in downtown San Luis Obispo.

Their menu changes according to seasons and availability of produce, so you may find some variety in their dishes. Also, the menu is not 100% plant-based as they do offer meats and seafood but they do accommodate with some vegetarian and vegan options. Our waitress was very kind in letting us know what menu items are/can be vegan, which we greatly appreciated her taking the time to review this with us. The staff here was always helpful and attentive.

We started off by having their pickled vegetables. These were so good! They had the perfect crunch and flavor to them that they inspired me to make my very own at home. I don’t have a sophisticated palate to describe the flavor of what they were infused with but they had a bold flavor and gave off somewhat of an earthy aroma. I highly recommend them!

We then shared three other dishes: their seasonal curry with a side of jasmine rice, a butterleaf salad, and toast with a mushroom tapenade. A noteworthy dish was their pumpkin curry. This is a must try if on the menu!   It was flavored with just the right touch of sweetness with the butternut squash and spiciness from the topped jalapenos.  The butterleaf salad reminded us of summer salads – fresh and crispy greens recently picked from the farm. It had such a simplicity to it yet had a lot of flavor because of its freshness. Also, the dietitian in me was thankful that it had just the right amount of dressing drizzled over it.

My husband and I loved our experience here and we can’t wait to visit again. Perhaps this time their Paso Robles location as we’ve seen some yummy lentil tacos on their menu!
